BMS College of Architecture – Eligibility Criteria

Every year, a considerable number of students seek admission to BMS College of Architecture to pursue Undergraduate (B.Arch), Postgraduate (M.Arch), and Doctoral (PhD) programs in Architecture. The admission committee administers the candidate selection procedure and takes admission under government quota and college management quota. A candidate seeking admission needs to meet the eligibility criteria and secure a valid score in the entrance examination.

Course Name Eligibility

B.Arch

Students must pass 10+2 or equivalent examinations with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University.

(OR)

Students must pass 10+3 Diploma Examination with at least 50% aggregate marks and Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

M.Arch (Habitat Design)

Students must pass B.Arch or equivalent examinations from a recognized Institute or University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks 

Ph.D

Candidates must have passed M.Arch or equivalent examination from a recognized Institute or University  

The candidates must qualify successfully for VRAT Test and VTU interview

Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch

Other eligibility criteria for undergraduate B.Arch program are as follows:

  • Candidates must qualify for National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA)/JEE Paper-II Examination 
  • The aspirant applying through COMEDK must secure at least 50% aggregate marks in NATA. 
  • Students belong to SC/ST/OBC category must obtain at least 45% aggregate marks.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Arch

Other eligibility criteria for undergraduate M.Arch program are as follows:

  • He/she must secure a valid score in the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). 
  • The candidate who obtains valid marks in GATE can apply for direct admission. 
  • Students belong to SC/ST/OBC category must pass with at least 45% aggregate marks.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D.

  • Students must pass M.Arch or equivalent examinations from a recognized Institute or University. 
  • The students must qualify successfully for VRAT Test and VTU interview.
