Nightingale Institute of Nursing - Eligibility Criteria

Nightingale Institute of Nursing, Bangalore offers 8 nursing courses that include both the UG, PG and the diploma nursing courses. All the courses offered by this college are recognized by Karnataka Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. To get admission under government quota, the students need to have the eligible scores in the qualifying examinations.

Eligibility

B.Sc. Nursing

The aspirant with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 or PUC from any recognized Board with main subjects as Physics, Chemistry, Biology along with English.

M.Sc. Nursing

The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in B.Sc in nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic)

 The aspiring student must have passed GNM from a recognized Institute or University.

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)

Candidates must have passed in +2 or PUC or equivalent exam with a minimum of 35% marks from any recognized board of education.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc Nursing

Other eligibility criteria for the interested students to apply for the 4-years B.Sc. Nursing course are as follows:

  • The student must be 17 years of age as of December 31st to the year of applying at NIN.
  • The candidate should have done schooling in the 10 + 2 pattern, with Science as the mainstream.
  • The minimum aggregate should be 45% in PCBE (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English).

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc Nursing

Other eligibility criteria for the interested students to apply for the 2-years M.Sc. Nursing course are as follows:

  • He or she must also hold at least 1-year on-field experience after completing the Bachelors’ degree.
  • The candidate can also have a minimum of 1-year clinical expertise before or after the P.B.B.Sc.(N)

Eligibility Criteria for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing

Other eligibility criteria for the interested students to apply for the 2-years Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course are as follows:

  • There is only 1 basic criterion put forth by the School of Nursing and that is, you must have passed the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery).
  • The candidate must also be less than 48 years old.

Eligibility Criteria for GNM

Other eligibility criteria for the interested students to apply for the 3.5 years Diploma Nursing course are as follows:

  • The candidate must be within 17 to 35 years of age during the application.
